In my master thesis, I am dealing with the economic analysis of the DaLeA project, among other things, as economic considerations are important for successful establishment in addition to the agronomic results. Especially when it comes to a new form of cultivation such as permanent living mulch.
I am writing my master thesis at a time, when the weather was unstable, with many rainy days and few sunny days, so that the hay harvest, which was supposed to be completed in June, had still not been brought in by mid-July. But it's not just the hay harvest, which is suffering from the wet weather: the heavy rainfall in some places is leading to silted farmland and erosion, which is reducing soil fertility.
It is really necessary to (further) develop and evaluate alternative cultivation concepts, and I would like to make a small contribution to this with my master thesis!
